CSEP Professional Development Credits (PDCs): 4

This CSEP Professional Development Event is an introduction to the topic of Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) with a focus on the unique experience of exercise professionals. Many exercise professionals are not sure how to identify the signs and symptoms of mental health problems, how to provide initial support and where to direct clients so they can seek professional assistance. This evidence-based webinar is constructed to increase awareness, de-stigmatize mental disorders, and give people the skills and confidence to identify, intervene, and manage mental health problems in themselves or others.

Attending this workshop may help to:

  • increase your awareness and intervention skills

  • identify important signs and symptoms of mental health distress

  • enhance the culture of care and support within your community of people

Please note: Participants will not receive a Mental Health First Aid certification. Information on further resources including completing a certification course will be mentioned during the webinar.

Due to the nature of the topic being discussed and the workshop format this webinar will not be recorded and registration is very limited. There are two dates offered for this workshop—this is the same workshop please make sure you only register for one of the dates.
